Another person in Guelph arrested last year will be learning his fate come August for possession of over 22,000 images, videos and stories of child pornography. The most content ever found to date in Ontario.
Here's the article from today's Guelph Mercury.
"A child porn collector, responsible for one of the largest collections in the province, is to undergo a psychological assessment. A police investigation in June 2007 found Gordon Beacock, 46, had more than 22,000 child porn images, videos and stories on his home computer in his basement apartment on Laurine Avenue in Guelph.
Beacock was to be sentenced yesterday, but provincial court Justice David Carr had concerns about his presentence report. "He strikes me that he is blaming everyone else for the possession of this material and not taking responsibility of his own," Carr said.
Carr said those statements were concerning when he has to consider future conduct on Beacock's part.
Following a consultation with his client, defence counsel Matt Stanley said Beacock would see a psychologist. Sentencing was adjourned until Aug. 8."
